Dean被一個喪心病狂的靈能者抓走，試圖掠取他的靈魂同時獲得他的能力 -- 原來每個人多多少少都有些潛在的心靈能力，但Dean在儀式完成前逃了出來，並且發現他的運氣實在爛到爆，因為他被引發出來的潛在能力是召喚靈魂成為他的僕人 -- 是的，Dean Winchester現在是一名死靈法師。

如果這是D & D的話，我們可能會看到Dean手持死神鎌刀、帶著一隊白骨精匡啷匡啷的闖蕩江湖。

不過這是SPN，所以這隻死靈法師不但一點也不神氣，反而要在垂死邊緣掙扎。

Dean是少數不需要鮮血獻祭就能召喚死靈的強大法師，這也意味著，只要他靠近墓地，所有的死人都會爬出來跟他走，甚至在公路上都能叫醒road killer一路狂追；如果不能控制這股力量，反噬的作用將徹底摧毀他，或者發瘋，或者逐漸消失在這個時空中。

Sam和Ruby努力尋找解決之道，在此同時，還要應付那隻喪心病狂靈能者的追殺，Dean已經快要撐不住了。
